Summer Makeup: Beat The Heat With Pixi Beauty Products

Doesn't it feel great when you go to a summer party in sweltering heat and you don't have to worry about your eye makeup melting away? If your eye makeup is not up for the humidity challenge, you won't want to miss the collection of high-performance products I received from Pixi. I'll introduce you to this fun collection and tell you which have quickly become my absolute summer must-haves to beat the heat and look fresh all day!

Let's begin with the Pixi Endless Silky Eye Pens that come in vast array of colors - 21 to be exact! Put simply, the pens are FANTASTIC! They are highly-pigmented pens that are ultra silky and effortlessly glide across your eyes. The pencil color you see is the color you will get when applied. The selling point for me is the waterproof formula that won't come off until you take it off. The formula is ideal for steamy hot weather and makes it ideal for steamy, hot days. It is important to know that the pens dry to set in about 5 seconds. That means if you make a mistake while applying the liner, have a damp cotton swab ready to fix it quickly or you will need a cotton swab dipped in a little makeup remover.  The 5-second budge-proof drying period also allows time to smudge the liner for a smoky effect.

Colors: BlackBlue, Velvet Violet, RoseGlow, Matte Mulberry

If you are like me and have been using a 24/7 liner, you owe it to yourself and your pocketbook to check out Endless Silky Eye Pens. I actually prefer Pixi's silky formula over the unnamed brand. Pixi is also about $8 cheaper.

Here's what you get with Pixi Endless Silky Eye Pens:

• Gentle on eyes, yet intensely colored and super-silky
• Waterproof
• Gives the concentrated color of a liquid liner in a silky, easy to apply pencil
• Stays looking flawless all day
• Hypoallergenic
• No mineral oils
• No preservatives
• No parabens

• Not tested on animals

The Pixie Eye Define Waterline in black is a waterproof formula designed for use on the inner and upper lash line (tightlining). Like the Silky Eye Pens, the Eye Definite Waterline needs a few seconds to dry. I like that it glides on easily and has a twist-up top that requires no sharpening.

The Eye Bright Liner is nude colored, hypoallergenic and designed to line the inner waterline. The precision inner rim liner makes the whites of the eyes brighter, is waterproof, and suitable for sensitive eyes. Like the Eye Define Waterline Liner, it has a twist up, non-sharpening precision point pen.

I didn't personally have a chance to sample the Black Lacquer Lash Primer. My daughter snatched it up immediately after I finished taking photos. She said she loves the mascara and that it is her favorite. I reminded her that the packaging said it was a primer, but she insisted it works well as both a primer and mascara. The packaging states that it plumps, primes, and defines. She agrees and said the unique comb applicator makes application super easy. Her lashes are amazing using the lash primer alone, so I guess she is right that it can be used as a mascara.

The Pixi by Petra Large Lash Mascara is a lengthening and smudge-proof mascara that makes the eyes pop! I love that it is cruelty-free and contains Vitamin E to nourish your lashes. Don't be fooled. It is every bit as good (quite possibly better) than department store brands. Definitely give it a try!

Its lush brush is great for those who like one coat coverage, but it doesn't have to stop there. If you like your lashes big and bold, you can layer your lashes with an extra coat or two for a dramatic effect.

The Lash Line Ink is a long-wearing, smudge-proof & non-feathering precision tip liner. The formula goes on smooth and dries fast, but is a wetter application than the Endless Silky Eye Pens. I found the wet formula was a bit harder to apply and less forgiving. While I had a little difficulty getting a smooth line, it doesn't mean you will. Also, be sure to keep the cap on when not in use. It can dry out if left uncovered.

So there you have it. The easiest way to keep your eye makeup looking fresh even when the temperatures and humidity rise.

xoxo,

Nancy

  3. I want every color eyeliner and I want to try the eyelash primer. My lashes are brittle and could use something to moisturize them.
