When it comes to putting summertime outfits together, I gravitate towards bright colors, bold patterns, and versatility. Most importantly, I emphasize convenience. Yes folks, fashion does not have to be uncomfortable - you heard it here! Summer was made for activities, adventures, and socializing. On my blog, I’ve talked about the contents of my purses in a series called What’s in Your Purse?. Today, I’m extremely excited to share a summer edition on Style, Decor and More.
Since I find myself out and about on most summer days, I have a tendency to sport smaller cross-body bags. It gives me a hands-free experience whether I’m dining with friends or visiting a new park with my family. My Michael Kors Ginny Crossbody purse has been a staple in my summer uniform. It’s a compact bag that can surprisingly fit so much. Usually, smaller purses are limiting on what one can bring. The space and compartments in this number allow me to carry a bit more than the essentials.
What’s in Your Purse? Summer Edition
Here’s what I’ve been packing on a day-to-day basis:
1. This Michael Kors Mercer Leather Card Case has enough slots for my important cards (and then some). Not to mention, the Ginny bag has a compartment dedicated to even more cards, so I’m never missing any membership cards when I take this purse out with me. Also, I LOVE the fact that this card case has a coin compartment – you never know when a chunk of change can come in handy! 2. I always have time for a touchup (or two), so my lipstick, lipbalm, and travel-sized mascara come with me wherever I go! 3. My keys, for the obvious reasons. 4. A pack of tissues, because spills and sniffles can happen at any moment. Not to mention, the Ginny has a slot in the back that fits my cell phone just perfectly. I have easy access to it and hardly miss any phone calls because of its convenient compartment.
So far this summer, I have not run into any situations where I felt like I’ve left anything behind. If packed correctly, a small bag can offer you convenience and style. No need to bulk up your purse with unnecessary items. Enjoy your summer days without having to lug around the extras! What are your purse essentials? What kind of bags have you been sporting this summer? Let me know in the comments below. I’d love to hear your style tips!
