Pixi Beauty's New Long-Lasting Cheek Gels & Lip Stains

Hey ladies! I'm here with Pixi by Petra's newest collection of summer beauty products that have incredible 'stay on' formulas you don't want to miss. The products were created to give a boost of color to your cheeks and lips with sheer gels, stains & glosses that hydrate, nourish, and last and last.  Let's get started...

First up are Pixi's Sheer Cheek Gels that create a natural flush to your cheeks. If you are fair-skinned, you can't go wrong with any of the Sheer Cheek Gel shades. They are super-sheer and offer a hint of color. Medium and darker skin tones will probably need to apply, let dry, and repeat. I would also suggest the deeper-pigmented 'Flushed' color. My daughter has her daddy's Italian, olive skin tone and the "flushed" shade looks beautiful on her. She applied two layers in order to achieve a beautifully soft, hint of color.

MAKEUP TIP: Applying cheek gels can be a little tricky. For a natural look, apply a small dallop onto a Q-tip and use a foundation-type brush to the cheek gel to the apple of your cheeks and work your way out towards your temple for a fresh, dewy-faced look. Applying the cheek gel with a brush will give you better control of the gel and prevent too much product accumulating at the temples.  

If you have dry skin like I do, you will LOVE Pixi by petra's Sheer Cheek Gel.    

Most of us have an arsenal of lip products in our beauty bag, but probably none of them offer long-lasting color and hydration quite like Pixi by Petra's GelTint & SilkGlosses. These duo formulas go on wet, dry almost instantly, and last for hours. Wear the lip stain alone or top it off with a hydrating gloss infused with jojoba oil to add dimension and shine.

The PinkTint shade is hot pink in color, but goes on sheer. Add the shimmery 'barely-there' pink SilkGloss and make your pout shine.

My favorite shade is Berry Tint & Sweet Gloss. It is very close to my natural lip color and looks like I'm hardly wearing any lip color at all, yet it feels ultra creamy and hydrated.

The Beach Tint GelTint lasts longer than other stains I've tried and the SilkGloss adds a beautiful shine while keeping my lips moist. Of the GelTint & SilkGloss combinations, the BeachTint's orange color was the boldest of the bunch and a bit too orange for my taste. The color was reminiscent of orange popsicle lips that I used to have as a child! I will be giving this one to my daughter who can pull off the look with her chocolate brown hair and darker skin tone.
