February is the month to celebrate love and we have seven simple things you can do to create a romantic retreat in time for Valentine's Day! The best part is it won't cost a fortune and is easily achievable.

1. Clear away clutter! It's hard to relax when you have laundry that needs to be folded and put away. Invest in attractive baskets and under-the-bed space saver units to de-clutter the room. Nail polish, nail files, lotion, magazines, jewelry and hair clips should be removed from the nightstand and put in its proper place. Oh...that's my nightstand...never mind! Hopefully your bedside table isn't as cluttered as mine. {wink}

2. Soothe your senses by using scented candles which will create a relaxing ambiance with a soft, glowing light. Remember to keep candles away from flammable material and avoid placing them in high traffic areas. Candles should be placed on a hard surface, too.

3. Faux or fresh cut flowers add a finishing touch and brighten the room, not to mention your mood. Fresh cut flowers are especially pleasing and can transform a lackluster space into one with life and personality! ALDI stores offer a nice assortment of budget-friendly flowers, though the quality varies widely from week to week and store-to-store. It's hit or miss really, but worth checking out.

4. Display photos from your wedding and special times in your life. Frame a stem or two of dried flowers from your wedding bouquet and place them in an antique-inspired frame.

5. Use the fine French linens that you have stored away for special guests and add romantic pillows and throws with an abundance of soft textures. You're worth it!

6. Turn off the T.V. (unless you are watching a romantic movie) and place your cell phone in the nightstand!

See...So simple! Enjoy your dreamy retreat and send in your photos! We love to share!
