Style, Decor & More: The Hottest Hair Color Trend for 2016

The Hottest Hair Color Trend for 2016

When it comes to trends in hair color, 2016 has shown us that there is never a dull moment. The  popular hair trend has taken this year by storm. Celebrities of all ages are experimenting with fun and exciting shades of color. From Kylie Jenner's minty-hued do to Miranda Lambert's soft pink streaks, there is no doubt that this fun color trend is here to stay.

My daughter recently had the fun opportunity to try Colorsmash Color Kissed Hairspray in Pink, Indigo and Violet. As you can see in the before & after photos below, she went for an all over look using the violet color. Following Colorsmash instructions from the package, she held the can approximately 8-10 inches from her hair and sprayed quick bursts to avoid saturating any one section of her hair. She chose not to brush her hair afterward, but if you choose, the color can be brushed out for natural feeling hair.

Colorsmash is nutrient-rich and adds color and gloss to hair with zero damage. Extracts of grape seed, avocado, quinoa, sunflower seed and more leave the hair feeling touchable and soft. The formula is paraben- and gluten-free and does not penetrate the cuticle like permanent hair color. This means you can have fun trying new colorful styles and never have to worry about damaging your hair!

What I personally love about Colorsmash is that it's fun and easy! This Halloween my daughter wants to find a blonde wig and dress up as Harley Quinn from the movie Suicide Squad.  If you have blonde hair, all you need is Colorsmash Color Kissed Hairspray in Pink and Indigo! Can it be any easier? Just be sure to lift each ponytail up and away from hair before spraying. When spraying color onto each ponytail, you will want to shield other sections of hair from any spray color. Let hairspray dry before setting the ponytails onto blonde hair. Once the spray is dry, it will not transfer.  Have fun!

Overall, I would highly recommend Colorsmash Color Kissed Hairspray because it is super easy to use, nourishes the hair, resists transferring when dry and easily washes out of hair.

Colorsmash Color Kissed Hairspray can be purchased online at Colorsmash.com

  1. I love the multicolor look. I stick with the standard colors to get rid of my grey's lol. My daughter loves the fun colors. She's had blue, purple, pink, blonde and black. I love seeing others with fun colors such as this.

  4. I'd like to have pink or teal ends. I have never been courageous with my hair styles but since I've been a stay at home mom I've been letting loose a little bit. I thank my daughter for the prompting.

  5. There is no way that I could pull off the multicolor hair fashion. I always tend to err on the side of caution when it comes to my hair. I recently saw someone whose whole hair was multicolor, like a rainbow. It was gorgeous!

    1. Multicolor would be a bit more challenging. The good thing is the spray is just like hairspray and dries quickly.

  6. I would love to try this. I've always wanted to experiment with temporary color, but was afraid it wouldn't wash out.

  7. I love the fact that it washes out and nourishes the hair! I'd love to try it out but at my age I'd do it for Halloween or around the house only. I'd be too afraid to be made fun of out in public

    1. I agree, Ivonne. I'm not comfortable with colored hair at my age, but I would have a blast with it if I were younger! My daughter loves it! :)
