How To Get Healthy, Shiny Hair! {Mitch Stone Essentials Review!}

Are you ready to discover truly wonderful hair care products? For the last few weeks I've been using a collection from Mitch Stone EssentialsMitch Stone, the creator of Mitch Stone Essentials, is a highly acclaimed, award-winning celebrity hair stylist who has been beautifying hair for the last two decades!  And if you think these products look or sound familiar to you, it may be because Mitch Stone has been featured in publications such as Allure, marie claire, Vogue, and People, to name a few!

At the heart of Mitch Stone's fabulous hair care collection is VcompSTM, a blend of carefully-curated vitamins, minerals and oils, fused into an amazing lush papaya base. The special formula is designed to nourish, hydrate and protect hair!

I apply Mitch Stone products to dry hair. This is my personal preference, but you may prefer to apply texturizing spray and/or serum to damp hair and allow it to air dry. I would use whichever approach is easier and more comfortable for you.

After blow drying my hair with a large round brush, I apply Mitch Stone's Texturizing Spray to my hair for added dimension and volume. I take small sections at a time, spray lightly and push up with the palm of my hand.

After I have the desired volume and texture from the Texturizing Spray, I follow with Mitch Stone Lustre Drops serum. Using one drop of the serum in the palm of my hand, I rub my hands together well and distribute the serum evenly through my hair. I begin an inch from the root and work the serum down to the ends of my hair. After working the serum into my hair, I add another drop to the palms of my hand and repeat the same process, but this time I focus on the bottom half and ends of my hair, where frizz tends to occur. If necessary, I repeat this process, but do caution that "less is always more."

The Lustre Drop Serum and Texturizing Spray combination work great on my over-processed, dry hair and make it look healthier, smoother and shinier. I can save myself an extra step and skip smoothing out my ends with a flat iron or curling iron by applying a little extra texturizing spray and serum to the ends of my hair! Love it!

Lastly, I set my look with Mitch Stone's 'Set In Stone' Firm Hold Hairspray. I hold the can about 10 inches from my hair and spray lightly. I am super impressed with the weightless formula and terrific holding power! The hairspray's tropical cocktail of vitamins and minerals gives a perfect finish to my look! Love it!

  2. My hair is dry and brittle, but serums make it look greasy. Your hair doesn't look greasy though.

    1. Hi Peggy! Just remember that less is more. If you have thin hair, start with a very small drop and see how it looks before adding more serum. Also, work through the ends first and then slowly work it up into your hair.

    1. Hi Kristy, I know what you mean. Some hairsprays are so heavy. I really do love the weightless formula and can't wait to see how it works on humidity! Not that I'm looking forward to humid, sticky weather! lol :)

  8. This looks like a wonderful line of hair-care products. I used to be able to use the bottom of the line products, but it seems as I am getting older I really need to use the more expensive brands. Totally worth the money because they leave my hair looking healthy and shiny. I will have to give this line a shot when I run out of my current brand because your hair looks great!
