Style, Decor & More: How to Get Motivated To Exercise!

How to Get Motivated To Exercise!

Who is ready to get motivated to exercise? Yes, we know that exercising is important to stay fit and healthy, but sometimes it can be difficult to find the motivation to do it. Our minds tell us to work harder and achieve our fitness goals, but then our tired bodies say otherwise.

Whether you like yoga, pilates, running, walking, etc., the important thing is to move! Below we've rounded up a few strategies that will help to get that motivational ball rolling and you can then build on the momentum:

1. Work out in the morning. When you exercise in the morning it increases your metabolism and energizes you for the day ahead.

2. Make it routine. Even if you can't exercise in the morning, try to exercise at the same time every day and establish a routine. If it becomes a habit, you are more likely to keep your exercise routine.

3. Set realistic goals. If you start out planning to exercise for one hour/day, chances are it isn't going to happen. Start small and work your way up. Begin with 10 minutes for the first week and build from there.

4. Look and feel the part! I can't think of a better way to get motivated than with fantastic workout apparel, can you? Wearing fitness apparel that is comfortable and designed for working out, will motivate and get you moving! If you prefer to exercise outdoors like I do, you will want to make sure your workout wear is designed for the elements.

My motivation began a few weeks ago when I received fantastic fitness apparel from Colosseum. As soon as I put on the running jacket and leggings, I instantly felt like going out for a long walk or jog. The GoGo Jacket (shown below) is lightweight, lined with mesh and wind-resistant & waterproof. Rain, snow or shine, I'm ready!

Colosseum is a company dedicated to creating a superior product at a superior value! They believe that quality and value will sell itself better than brand names or endorsements. Check out the details of the GoGo jacket both inside and out:

Quality stitching and full length zipper closure.

Adjustable toggle cinch waist assures a perfect fit!

Trendy hi-lo style!

Zip closure pockets in the front and back.

The back security pocket is great to carry your house key and other essentials!
Two points if you spot "Waldo The Deer" in the photo below! {smile}

The Positive Thinking Puff Jacket is a pre- and post-workout must-have! I'm loving its warmth and comfort while running errands!

We've been having crazy weather here in Cleveland. Two days ago we had sunny skies and 70 degree temps, today it was a chilly 50 degrees! This cozy jacket kept me warm on my morning walk!

Love the attention to detail! Its ribbed sleeve cuffs & bottom band and stylish quilting, to mention a few!

The cable knit pattern is too cute and gives these leggings a touch of whimsy and style. The seamless technology is quite impressive also!

I couldn't be happier with the quality, comfort, and fit of Colosseum's workout wear. And since I've received these active wear pieces, my attitude toward exercising has changed for the better! I'm excited to get outdoors and my energy and passion to get moving has increased! Yes, I've always done a little exercising, but since I've received these amazing jackets, I've been braving the weather (rain, cold or shine) to go for a walk and/or jog.

Look who also loves Colosseum fitness wear!

Thank you, Colosseum. I'll have an easier time keeping my fitness routine going while sporting around town in fitness wear I love!

Dancing with the Stars is one of my favorite shows and I have to get a pair of your leggings. The chain going down the leg is cute.

  5. Make it a routine is a must! AND... don't skip on your routine with an excuse or you may never get back to working out. That's my life.

    1. It is so tough to get motivated. Today it is cold, windy and it's raining here in Cleveland and I have zero motivation to go for a walk. Pushing it today! :)
