Style, Decor & More: 15 Festive Red, White & Blue Desserts

15 Festive Red, White & Blue Desserts

Squee! Memorial Day is this weekend and I always look forward to the unofficial kick-off to summer! My hubby and I were married on Memorial Day weekend, so along with a great big family picnic, we also have an anniversary party! We will have been married 29 years this coming weekend, and I honestly don't know where the time went! It doesn't feel like we've been married close to 30 years! Scary, right?! (hee-hee)

Before we dive into the tasty recipes contributed by my bloggy friends, I don't want to forget to stop and honor the men and women who gave their lives for our amazing country. My parents and grandparents emigrated to America in the 1950's, so while I haven't personally lost family members who served in the United States, I will NEVER forget my grandfather telling me about the day the Americans liberated the concentration camp where he had been a prisoner for four years during WWII. My grandfather LOVED America and was very proud of his American citizenship.

O'kay! It's time to sweeten your Memorial Day (or 4th of July) with these colorful and patriotic desserts! There are 15 tasty treats to try! Enjoy!

  1. The Forth of July is honestly one of my favorite time of year when it comes to desserts! Because it's summertime, berries are at their freshest. If it's something like a cake, it seems one of those holidays were people will go all out with their decorating. Also, it's fun to have sparklers and all things shiny on top! Can't wait to check out all of the links .. thank-you for the inspiration!

  3. This is an excellent collection. That bundt cake looks very good, though my kids would probably like the cookies the best. I always like making festive desserts to go along with the specific holiday.

  6. Yay, these are great desserts, even perfect for 4th of July. It's always a fun event and the little one always gets excited to see the fireworks! I will be baking some of these for sure, whether there's an event for not---we love homemade desserts at home!

  7. We usually have a cookout with family during the Memorial Day weekend. I have never made a red, white and blue dessert but I think I might just start doing that. I think I'll start with the RW&B jello cups.
