Natural Remedies To Add To Your Skincare Regimine

With so many skincare products out there at the moment, it's often hard to know where to start! It sometimes feels like a new better, bigger product comes out every week. This can lead to women everywhere spending far too much money on a variety of different cream, lotions and potions that ultimately do the same thing.

Although a lot of people don’t realize it, their favourite skin care products can often be packed with harmful ingredients, toxins and chemicals, which can sometimes have a detrimental impact on their skin health.

We are surrounded every day by wonderful natural ingredients that are naturally great for our skin. Often women are too nervous to try out these natural remedies through both fear of getting them wrong and also because they feel they are less convenient than simply buying the ready-made products.

There are many different homemade products you can make like homemade hand cream, homemade leave-in conditioner, or homemade body butters! Below you will find some fantastic remedies that really work and are simple and easy to create and apply. What’s more, they are available to make for a fraction of the cost of buying products.

 #1 - The Face

All anyone seems to want these days is a facial product that will make him or her look healthier and (more importantly) younger. While some opt for facial surgeries like fillers or facelifts, others often shell out ridiculous sums of money for the latest 'collagen boosting' cream or gel. There are many key factors to having radiant, youthful facial skin, from diet to lifestyle. One of the best things you can do in terms of your facial skincare routine is keep it simple with natural oils, like coconut oil and lavender oil.

One of the most versatile skin and food ingredients there is, coconut oil’s skin benefits are endless! They include: strengthening underlying epidermal tissue, removing dead skin cells, protecting from sunburn, as well as containing antibacterial, antiviral, anti-fungal and antioxidant properties.

The best ways to use coconut oil on both your face and body are when cleansing, moisturizing, removing makeup, healing wounds or scars, and preventing razor burn. Another bonus is that it naturally smells incredible, without all those negative, nasty additives you can often find in other products.

Aside from being an amazing scent for therapeutic aromatherapy, lavender oil is also a natural remedy that can be used for a laundry list of skincare ailments including eczema, healing burns, treating dandruff, and treating acne.

To treat acne, simply place a few drops of lavender oil onto a cotton swab and apply once or twice daily until you see the desired result.

#2 - The Bust

Many women complain about their breast sagging and drooping as they get older, but they don't realize that there are so many things that you can do to help. It's a common misconception that once your breasts have sagged, you will need some form of surgery, to correct them. This is simply not the case, and with so many horror stories and scandals leading to breast surgery claims in recent years, it's really not the best option.

There are many hidden tips and natural remedies out there to achieve a more firmer bust. Two more magical ingredients when it comes to firming your breasts are Aloe Vera and almond oil. Both are good on their own, but together they're wonderful! Containing huge amounts of vitamins and amino acids which stimulate cell growth and improve circulation, they can have a fantastic tightening impact in your breast area.

Again, these are even better because they have a fantastic natural smell - all the benefits none of the nasty additives!

#3 - Body

Some women find it tricky finding a body lotion that fits their kind type. Some products can be too greasy or thick, making the lotions sit awkwardly on the skin and not fully absorb.

A fantastic natural ingredient for beautiful skin over your entire body is Jojoba Oil. So many people are not aware of the fantastic nourishing properties that the oil of jojoba has to offer. It's often an added ingredient in many skincare products, but it works wonders on your skin when you use it on it's own. When you want to use this oil, I recommend using half a cup of jojoba oil and mixing it with a few drops of chamomile and essential oils. Both jojoba and chamomile nurture and protect the skin, providing soothing and nourishing properties.

#4 - Feet

Your feet are so important! If neglected, feet can become sore, callous and can cause many issues. It's very easy to look after your feet. There are so many expensive foot scrubs and treatments available, but you can make your own 100% natural foot scrubs that are just as amazing!

A fantastic mixture that gives your feet a full exfoliation and a deep clean is brown sugar, baking soda and olive oil. This mixture is super easy to whip up before a bath or shower. Apply the mixture to your feet after a hot shower and give them a good scrub! It will leave your feet feeling soft, smooth and refreshed.

If you do try any of these natural remedies, please let us know how it goes!

  1. I love using lavender in my bath. I've never tried it for acne before, but will give it a try next time I have a breakout.
