Style, Decor & More: Key Lime & Coffee Scrub Cubes {DIY}

Key Lime & Coffee Scrub Cubes {DIY}

I don’t know about you, but my skin was wrecked by this harsh winter we had. My skin, which is usually pretty supple, has lost that soft, touchable feeling. I noticed this especially on my arms and legs. Whenever I need to exfoliate and give my skin a treat, I make a batch of my Key Lime Coffee Scrub Cubes. Not only do they get dead skin off, but they smell so good! After I use them, I apply my favorite skin lotion and my skin is back to it’s beautiful self!

Key Lime Pie Coffee Scrub Cubes
½  cup coconut oil
½  cup freshly ground coffee (I use my leftover grounds)
¼ cup lime juice
Lime zest
Ice cube tray, muffin tin or any mold you choose. I used a silicone craft mold I had on hand.

Directions:
Microwave your coconut oil for 25-30 seconds
Mix in your coffee grounds and stir well
Pour mixture into your tray, tin or mold
Using your zester, shave about 1 tsp. of lime zest over each cube
Place mold in the freezer until cubes are hardened (about 2-3 hours)

When completely frozen, pop out the cubes. You can store them in an airtight container in the freezer until you are ready to use them. When you are ready to use them, sit it out and let it soften to room temperature.
