Check out the latest collection of goodies we received from e.l.f. Cosmetics! I love them all, but let's start with The Everyday Smoky Eyeshadow Palette, which is absolutely gorgeous! It's an amazing wet/dry palette that will take you from day to night in a flash. All you need to do is add a little water to achieve a beautifully bold look. I've chosen to use the palette dry (except to line the eyes) for a subtle, softer look. See below.

First, I applied a lighter shadow (dry) on the entire lid, a darker matte shade in the crease and a shimmering lighter color on the brow bone.
To finish the eye, I took a wet, fine angle brush and applied the black palette color along my upper lid lash line. Voila!
I'm loving the color of e.l.f.'s Berry Merry Blush! Go light with your brush, however, because the color is super pigmented. The lightest tap of a blush brush picked up enough pigment to achieve a pinky-rose glow on both my cheeks. I love the natural result! It's the perfect blushing shade for my skin tone. What do you think of the color?

This Lip Exfoliator is AWESOME! It leaves my lips super soft and it even tastes good - ha! No, it is not for you to eat, but it does leave a sweet, yummy taste on your lips! You will love it!

e.l.f.'s Bordeaux Beauty Moisturizing Lipstick is a deep, rich moisturizing lipstick that glides on velvety smooth thanks to the infusion of shea and vitamins to nourish and moisturize! I'm not used to a deep, rich lip color, so I blotted some off with a tissue, and it's works perfectly!

    1. Hi, Amy! Yes, I couldn't agree more. Excellent prices for a great, natural look. I'm going to have to "go bold" and post the "wet look" smokey eye. I guess at 50 yo, I feel a bit silly going dramatic, but you're as young as you feel, right?

  3. I love the natural look you are wearing, but would like to see a smokey eye too. Elf's shadows haven't worked very good for me in the past, but I will give this palette a try. Do you know if they have this palette at the drugstores?

    1. Hi Susan! Yes, the elf palette is very versatile. For Halloween I decided to try the shadow colors wet and WOW! You can really create drama with this palette. I will have to post an update pic for everyone to see!

  5. I usually blot off as well - another thing I do is mix just a bit of lipstick with my balm so I get some color, but don't look like I'm playing dress up. I always thought elf was more for kids - may have to look into it.

    1. Hi Sherry! I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels uncomfortable with dark lipstick. Mixing with a balm is the perfect solution. Definitely give elf a try! The lip exfoliator is $3 and you will love it! Just in time for winter too!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!
